How do I create an account?
Open HausWise, tap Sign Up, enter your email and a password, then confirm your email if prompted. You can also continue with Google on supported devices.
How do I create a new apartment?
After signing in, choose Create Apartment and give your home a name. You become the apartment owner and can invite others. Your time zone is set during sign-up.
How do I join an existing apartment?
Ask the owner for an invite code from More → Settings → Apartment, then choose Join Apartment on sign-in and enter the code.
How do I invite my flatmates?
Open More → Settings → Apartment, find the invite code, and share it. You can regenerate it any time for security.

How do I add and assign tasks?
Open the Tasks tab, tap +, fill in the title, due date, repeat settings, and assign to a flatmate. Tap a task to complete it.
How do recurring routines work?
Create a routine with a frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly). HausWise generates the next instance automatically once one is completed.
How do I plan meals?
Open the More tab and tap Meal planner. Pick a day, then add a meal from your recipes or create a new one. Recipe ingredients can be pushed straight to your shared shopping list.
How do I track pantry stock and low-stock items?
Open More → Home inventory. For each item you can set a low-stock threshold so HausWise flags what is running out before your next shop.
How do I post a notice?
Open Notices, tap +, add a title, body, and an optional photo. Every flatmate sees it instantly.
How do I track appliances and warranties?
Open More → Home appliances to add appliances with details, or use Home inventory for items with quantity, category, and expiry dates. HausWise highlights items expiring soon.
How do I add events to the household calendar?
Open the Events tab, tap a date, then add an event with title, time, and category. Everyone in the apartment sees it.

How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password. If the email does not arrive, check spam or contact support@shastack.com.
How do I change my display name or photo?
Open More → Settings, tap the pencil next to your name to edit your display name, or tap your profile photo to change it. For email changes, email us from your registered address.
How do I leave an apartment?
Open More → Settings, scroll to your apartment, and tap Move Out. If you are the only owner, transfer ownership to another member first.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@shastack.com from your registered address to request account deletion. We permanently remove your profile and personal data within 30 days. Shared apartment content you created may remain for other members unless you delete it first.
How do I export my data?
Email us from your registered address and we will provide a copy of your personal data within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy.
How do I sign out?
Open More → Settings and tap Sign Out. Sign back in any time with your email and password.

Troubleshooting

The app is not syncing across devices
Check your connection, pull down to refresh, and confirm you are signed into the same account on each device. If sync still fails, sign out and back in.
I am not receiving notifications
In your device settings, allow notifications for HausWise. Inside the app, open More → Settings and check that Daily todo summary is enabled.
I cannot sign in
Reset your password, or use Continue with Google if you originally signed up that way.
Images are not uploading to notices
Allow photo library access in device settings. Large images may take a few seconds on slow networks.
The app keeps crashing
Update to the latest version, restart your device, and try again. If it persists, email us with your device model, OS version, and a short description.
